DIY Giant Curly Fry
Thanks to JP's insane concoction in the above video you will see him successfully create an absolutely humongous curly fry. Recipe was a combination of food science and an incredible copy cat recipe of Arby's Curly Fries we made years ago. Link to that video and JP's recipe are here for you too.
Ingredients:
Dough
- 1 Box Instant Mashed Potato
- Boiling Water
Breading
- 1 Cup Water
- ½ Cup Flour
- 2 Tbsp Paprika
- 2 Tsp Salt
- 1 Tsp Cayenne Pepper
- 1 Tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 Tsp Onion Powder
- Parchment Paper
- Freezer

Instructions:
- Cut parchment into large triangles
- Combine boiling water and instant potato. Let cool enough to begin shaping the potato into a tube.
- Build the curly fry from the bottom up stacking with the parchment paper in-between each layer.
- Freeze for about 24 hours, until firm
- Preheat a giant vat of oil to 350F and deep fry for about 5 minutes.
- Dip in a huge bowl of ketchup and dig in!
