Taco Bell Breakfast AM Crunchwrap Sausage & Turkey Bacon Recipe

I guess these debut 03/27/14.  If you are reading this after that date then you already know.  I’m getting a head start on Taco Bell’s new breakfast menu, b/c it looks absolutely incredibly average.  Let’s just hope this drunk food taste just as good in the morning.

Recipe Type: Breakfast
Cuisine: American
Serves: 1

Ingredients:

  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 Tbsp Half & Half
  • 1 Hashbrown Patty
  • 1 Sausage Patty (I bought ground sausage and made my own)
  • 1 Turkey Bacon Strip
  • 2 60 Calorie Wraps
  • 2 Tbsp Shredded Cheddar Cheese

THINGS YOU'LL NEED:

Instructions:

  1. Crack two eggs and add 2 Tbsp Half & Half in a medium sized bowl and whisk. FYI, this is just how I make scrambled eggs. I'm sure everyone knows how to make scrambled eggs so make them how you like them to be made or make them like this.
  2. While scrambling your eggs add in a Tbsp of Shredded Cheddar Cheese and season with salt & pepper.
  3. I bought ground sausage and formed it into a patty that way I could get it the way I wanted it.
  4. Turkey Bacon is always used in substitute for regular bacon. It is slightly disappointing to the real thing, but sometimes you gotta make those sacrifices.
  5. The Hashbrown Patties take the longest if you bake. About 10 minutes per side. But if you have a deep fryer handy and you don't mind the extra fat calories, then it should only take about 5 minutes.

AM Sausge Crunchwrap:

  1. To make your sausage crunchwrap I do recommend centering the ingredients as shown in the pictures below. Also use the amount shown or else you will not be able to cover them completely with the wrap.
  2. Layer with the hashbrown first, then the sausage patty and top with the scrambled eggs.
  3. Use half of the cheesy scrambled egg mixture made previously for this wrap.
  4. Fold as shown below.
  5. Spray down the folded side first with cooking spray and grill for 2 minutes on medium high heat.
  6. Spray the other side, flip and grill for an addition 2 minutes.
  7. Cut and eat. Or don't cut and eat.

AM Turkey Bacon Crunchwrap:

  1. To make your turkey bacon crunchwrap, center ingredients as shown in the pictures below. Also use the amount shown or else you will not be able to cover them completely with the wrap.
  2. Layer with the hashbrown first, top with the scrambled eggs and crumble 1 turkey bacon strip on top of the eggs. Or inside the eggs, or mix it with the eggs.
  3. Fold as shown below.
  4. Spray down the folded side first with cooking spray and grill for 2 minutes on medium high heat.
  5. Spray the other side, flip and grill for an addition 2 minutes.
  6. Cut and eat. Or don't cut and eat.
