DIY Dragon Frappuccino

We were told at our local Starbucks that the Dragon Frappuccino was made up by a barista in California that decided to use raspberry syrup with the pink powder from the Unicorn Frappuccino and the Green Tea Frappuccino. We had to start by making our raspberry syrup from scratch. Once that was prepared, a quick blend of our green tea frap ingredients and this delicious cold beverage has been brought to life. You can no longer get it at Starbucks but you sure can make it at home!

THINGS YOU'LL NEED:

Instructions:

  1. First make your raspberry syrup by bringing your water and sugar to a boil. Take it off the heat and add your raspberries.
  2. Using a potato masher or a fork, mash the raspberries into the sauce and let your sauce thicken and cool.
  3. To thicken up quickly and for color add in a tablespoon of condensed milk and the electric purple food dye. Set aside
  4. In a blender blend together ice, milk, heavy cream, sweetened condensed milk, vanilla syrup, and green tea matcha powder.
  5. Put your raspberry syrup into a piping bag and rim the interior of your glass.
  6. Pour your green tea flavored frap into your glass.
  7. Top with whipped cream and green tea powder
  8. All you need is a big green straw and you've just created an official tasting unofficial Starbucks Dragon Frappuccino at home.
