THINGS YOU'LL NEED:

  • Pitchers:  https://amzn.to/3hSQG0n
  • Tea Sock:  https://amzn.to/3wxdUxl
  • Cocktail Shaker:  https://amzn.to/2Tcuxjm
  • Ice Crusher:  https://amzn.to/3vpfvFh
  • HJF Cutting Board: https://bit.ly/2Eyhr3R

INGREDIENTS:

  • 6 Tbsp Thai Black tea:
  • 2 Cups of Hot Boiling Water
  • 6 Tbsp Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • Crushed Ice
INSTRUCTIONS:
  1. In a sauce-pot bring water to a boil.
  2. Place tea sock in a heatproof cup, for steeping the tea.
  3. Add the tea to the tea sock.
  4. Pour boiling water into the tea sock, lift it in and out of the cup to steep the tea and extract all the flavor.
  5. Steep the tea for a several minutes until it turns dark in color. The flavor should be stronger than you would expect as it will be diluted with the sweetened condensed milk and ice.
  6. Taking a new cup, pour in 1 glass of hot tea and half the sweetened condensed milk, and stir...Serve over ice  OR shake in cocktail shaker OR A proper Thai iced tea should have a little froth or some bubbles on top, to properly do this, take 2 pitchers, and pour the tea from one to the other, with a bit of elevation. Froth and bubbles will get more and more the longer you pour back and forth with a good amount of separation between each pitcher. practice makes perfect.
  7. Fill a Glass with crushed ice
  8. Gently pour your hot tea mixture over the cup of ice, add more ice as necessary
  9. This recipe makes two servings, Enjoy
